Election notices
The Notices tab on each election is your communication hub for official election correspondence — separate from voter invitation emails on the Voters tab.
Where to find it
Open an election from Elections → Notices tab (under Run & Review in the sidebar).
Composing a notice
- Click Compose notice, or start from a template card at the top of the page
- Enter subject and body — templates pre-fill common HOA and election language
- Choose the delivery channel (email, etc.)
- Preview, then send to the eligible voter list
Sent notices appear in the communication timeline with timestamp, channel, and recipient count.
Florida Condo statutory notices
For Florida Condo compliance elections, first and second notices are generated and sent from the Compliance tab — not the general Notices composer. Those sends:
- Use Florida-specific Handlebars templates (association name, meeting date, candidacy deadlines, voting link)
- Capture an immutable snapshot of the rendered notice and recipient list
- Advance the compliance state machine when sent successfully
Use the Notices tab for supplemental communications (reminders, meeting agenda updates, etc.).
Notices vs. voter invitations
| Notices tab | Voters → Send Invites | |
|---|---|---|
| Purpose | Official election communications and records | Get voters to the ballot |
| Typical content | Meeting notice, candidacy deadlines, results certification | "Click here to vote" with personal or public link |
| Florida Condo statutory | Supplemental only | N/A — use Compliance tab for first/second notice |
Best practices
- Send yourself a test notice before broadcasting to all owners
- Match notice timing to your Governance Notice rules minimum-days setting
- Keep copies of every sent notice with your board packet — the timeline serves as a running log
- For postal requirements, generate the notice in ElectoSense, then fulfill physical-mail obligations through your mail house or manager
