Security & Compliance Overview

Your election data is protected by encryption, immutable audit logs, and strict access controls.

Data Protection

Encryption in Transit & at Rest

All data is encrypted using TLS 1.2+ in transit and AES-256 at rest. Ballot submissions are secured from the moment they leave the voter's device.

Secure Hosting

ElectoSense infrastructure is hosted in SOC 2-compliant data centers in North America with automatic failover and daily backups.

Voter Anonymity

Ballot submissions are separated from voter identity records. The system confirms participation without revealing individual vote selections.

Audit Logging

Immutable Vote Records

Every ballot submission creates a permanent, timestamped record that cannot be altered or deleted by any user, including administrators.

Participation Timestamps

Complete chronological log of when each voter accessed their ballot and submitted their selections.

Exportable Audit Files

Download complete audit trails as CSV files for board records, legal documentation, or third-party review.

Access Controls

Role-Based Permissions

Separate permission levels for organization administrators, election managers, and voters. Each role has defined access boundaries.

Admin Restrictions

Administrators can manage elections and view aggregate results, but cannot access individual ballot selections or modify submitted votes.

Voter Authentication

Each voter receives a unique, single-use ballot link verified through email or SMS. Shared or duplicate access is automatically prevented.

Data Retention Policy

Election data is retained for the duration required by your organization's governing documents and applicable law. ElectoSense provides tools to export all election records at any time.

When your retention period ends, you can request complete data deletion. All associated records, including ballots, voter lists, and audit logs, are permanently removed from our systems.
