Organization defaults

Save time by configuring defaults once at the organization level. New elections inherit these settings automatically (you can still override per election).

Election defaults

Go to Settings → Election Config to set:

  • Access mode — public (anyone with the link) or invite-only by default
  • Welcome message — pre-filled on new election landing pages
  • Voter verification defaults — require name entry, facial verification (Pro), or location confirmation (Pro)

Defaults apply only to newly created elections. Existing elections are not retroactively changed.

App Mode and jurisdiction

On Settings → Organization, use the App Mode selector:

  • Default — standard ElectoSense experience for general organizations
  • HOA / Community — enables jurisdiction-specific presets for community associations

When HOA mode is active, pick your default jurisdiction template (Florida Condo, Florida HOA, California HOA, Texas HOA, Ontario Condo, or Nonprofit). New elections can start with those governance defaults pre-applied, and meeting templates align to your region.

Advanced Governance capabilities

Settings → Advanced Governance lists modular capabilities — proxy management, quorum tracking, compliance engine, meeting management, inspector workflows, and more. Toggle capabilities on to expose the related tabs and tools across your workspace.

Capabilities marked as premium may require a paid plan to use in production even if enabled here.

Organization profile

On Settings → Organization, also confirm:

  • Organization name and contact details (used in notice templates)
  • Timezone — affects how start/end dates display to voters
  • Branding and subdomain settings if configured

Users and roles

Manage who can create elections, edit governance, and send notices from Settings → Users. Limit admin access to people who need it — especially for compliance and notice-sending authority.
